picture.gifPhoenix Tas-Moanan Consultancy (PTMC) is a continuity of the pioneering works being explored by Phoenix Performing Arts of Moana (PPAM), Pacific Island Youth Works (PIYN) and Lo’au Research

Society (Canberra Branch) all in Canberra, and interstates-overseas.

In short, PTMC is built on the successful works of PPAM, PIYN and LRS in Canberra, which have overall and after all led by Siosiua Lafitani Tofua’ipangai since1999, with the untiring support of her partner Luseane Halevael Tuita (or known as Lucy Astle).

Siosiua is the Director, and Luseane is the Manager of PTMC.

With Luseane, they decided to name this new business venture, Phoenx Tas-Moanan Consultancy, in which Phoenix is always a symbol for Siosiua’s life since being on wheelchair 12 years ago - rising out of the ashes.

Tas stands for Tasman Sea which connects Australia to Aoteroa, Tongan and other Moanan Islands ion the South Seas of the South Hemisphere, and Moana is a very old term for Polynesian and Micronesian people (known as Lapita people) and also a word for the sea or ocean.

So, PTMC aims to run business project and activities across Australia and through the Tasmanian Sea into Aoteroa, Tonga and the rest of the Moanan region. America, Europe, Africa and Middle East are also welcome.

PTMC focuses in running public-university lecturers, workshops, seminars, researches and consultations (advices) on matters relating to Tongan culture, traditions, arts, languages, education, religion, politics, history and society.

PTMC falls into three divisions: Lecture, Research and Advice (Consultation) -Consultant Lecturer, Researcher and Advisor.

You are most welcome to book appointments and arrange projects for 2010 and beyond, beginning in the month of December 2009 onwards. If you want immediate works or projects feel free to contact us.

PTMC will be formally and officially launched in the last week of February 2010, and on January of the same year, details about it’s the Launch and Operation are to be published on this website www.phoenix-dance.org , Nuama Research Organization www.nuama.org and LoauRS http://groups.yahoo.com/group/LoauRS/ , and distributed to Government Offices, NGOs and other communities services in Australia and abroad.
